As a Canadian, my first real exposure to eucalyptus (at least the first that I recall) was on a road trip into the California hills sometime around 1983. We were in a fully loaded station wagon, winding up the mountain on the switchback roads, and we started to smell something completely foreign. We finally figured out it was the TREES! It made a real impression on me.
This is one in a series of three eucalyptus paintings done in watercolor. Mockups shown are at a larger size than the original.
